Beast and its Master

I don't know what possessed me to draw a dragon(!), but when I saw this picture [link] , I knew I absolutely HAD to try and do my own version (and it literally saved me from my artblock). I guess my drawing could be considered as a prequel to it.

The girl is a fail. I'm obviously better at drawing beasts than humans.
